Sept. 2025
Hello, I am VERY happy to be here at Cardinal John Foley for my 8th school year. My name is Mrs. Gloria del Rosario Galilea-Cosgrave. I join you with a Master’s Degree in Spanish and Spanish American Literature from Villanova University, and a BA from Villanova U. I have studied abroad in Chile, Colombia, and Spain. I have enjoyed doing summer missionary work and working with children ages K-8 for 15 years in Peru, Bolivia, Chile, Dominican Republic, and El Salvador. I was a student teacher at General Wayne Middle School, Malvern. I also had the pleasure of teaching Spanish at Villa Maria Academy H.S., Malvern and The Montessori School, West Chester. I have been a Spanish teacher for more than 28 years and I have loved teaching the students.
I love being a part of Cardinal John Foley because the principal, faculty, parents, and students have been very supportive and kind.
I believe my joy of reading ( Spanish and Spanish American Lit.) and continuous joy of learning was an influence from my late father and Chilean poet, Hernán Galilea and my love of cooking from my late mother, Gloria del Rosario. I also enjoy spending time with family, friends, animales, traveling, and the outdoors.
