Experience:

• From January 2013-June 2019, I taught middle school history and religion at Cardinal John Foley.

• During the 2019-2020 school year, I taught 10th-12th grade social studies courses at a charter school in Philadelphia. 

• I returned to Cardinal John Foley in September 2020. Yay!! 

• I look forward to exploring history, civics, and the Catholic faith with middle school students as we work on life long skills such as organization and note-taking. 

Fun Facts about Mrs. Kain:

• I have a dog named Penny. She is seven years old. 

• My favorite Bible verse is Jeremiah 29:11.

• I have a special devotion to St. Therese of the Little Flower.

• I love seasonal things, pizza, and flowers.

• I am a big fan of the Philadelphia Eagles! Can you spot my Eagles gear that I wear on school game days? 

• My hobbies include cooking and baking, reading, watching movies and shows, coloring, and spending time with loved ones, especially Penny and my husband.

• I am a bit of a neat freak, sorry in advance! 

• Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter are my favorite holidays. 

• Fall is definitely the best season.

• I believe we should all be life-long learners. 

• We all get busy, so I really try to focus on the simple joys in life to keep me in the moment. 

  • A delicious cup of (chai) tea, a warm sweatshirt or cozy blanket on a chilly day, the way a perfect pen writes on paper, or unexpectedly hearing my favorite song on the radio :)
