Short Biography of Dr. Maher Bahnam Yousif:

He was granted BSc degree from Baghdad University, civil engineering department on 1981, and PhD degree from Architectural, Civil and Geodesy University in Sofia on 1989. His specialization is Concrete Technology and Design.

He worked in different Universities in Iraq and in Kurdistan Region like University of Babylon, Almustansuryia University, Salahaddin University, International University of Erbil and Cihan University from 1990 till now. He taught more than twelve subjects in the fields of Civil and Architectural engineering in BSc and MSc Levels. He also supervised ten MSc thesis and large number of student’s Graduation Projects. Dr Maher also presented large number of seminars and workshops.

He has seven papers published in local journals and four papers presented in international conferences.

Parallel to his academic work, He worked as a structural engineer and finished successfully the structural design of more than seventy projects.

He is a Senior Consultant Structural Engineer for many construction companies in Kurdistan Region.

His work was appreciated by the presidents of the Universities and deans of the engineering colleges in which he worked and by the Owners of the construction projects that were designed by him and by his teams.

His product is composed of large number of University Professors, Excellent Engineers and construction leaders, published papers, and perfectly designed Buildings.

Now, Assistant Professor in Cihan University-Erbil.
