My Philosophy in Teaching:
Various forms style and teaching methods are implemented to achieve the objectives of the courses. The style of teaching mainly involves working with actual texts, which can be printed out or presented via projector. Where necessary, sections of books and journal articles will be printed out and handed to students to further enhance their understanding of specific translation issues. While most of the activities are done inside class, students are also given homework and tasks to be carried out outside class. The students will be asked to work individually and in groups to accomplish particular discrete tasks. The course requires motivation and self-directed learning strategies on the part of the learner.
