Short Biography

I am Assistant Professor Dr. Ameena Sabah Mahmood Juma. I joined the Department of General Biology/ Cihan University since its establishment in 2009 as the Head of the Department, till October, 2017, when I became a lecturer in the Department. Formerly, I was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medical Microbiology in the College of Medicine, Al-Nahrain University, Baghdad (1990-2007). I earned my Ph.D. in Medical Microbiology from Al-Nahrain University, College of Medicine, Baghdad in 1999. I have an M.Sc. degree in Medical Microbiology from Al-Nahrain University, College of Medicine, Baghdad (1993) and a B.Sc. in Biology from Baghdad University, College of Science, Baghdad (1990). I have 30 publications in National and International journals. My research interests focus on fields of Microbiology, especially Medical Microbiology, Parasitology, Bacteriology, Immunology and Infectious Diseases. I am a member of the Kurdistan Biology Syndicate and a member of Erbil Toastmasters Academy.
