The CHHS PTSA is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization dedicated to working with students and their families, faculty, staff, and the greater community to support and enhance student experience and education at CHHS.


CHHS PTSA 2019 FALL COLLEGE ESSAY WRITING WORKSHOP Saturday, Sept. 21, 2019, 9am-12pm - CHHS Computer Lab

  1. Want to learn how to craft the perfect college application essay?
  2. Want to know what college admissions counselors are looking for?
  3. Need ideas on where to begin?
  4. Need help with the draft you already started?

This essay writing workshop is taught by Maggie Barbieri and Tina Jordan, both professional writers and editors. Attendees will benefit from their years of writing experience and working with CHHS students. Students will learn how to prepare a clear, concise, and persuasive college application essay. This specific workshop is geared toward those who participated in a session previously but all are welcome. The goal of this workshop is to have students leave with a solid first draft of their essay. Space is limited to 12 participants, so please register as soon as possible.

Registration: Email chptsamembership@gmail.com with your student’s name and phone number. You will be contacted via email that your request was received and we will also confirm directions on making payment via check or online at memberhub. Payment must be received prior to attending the workshop.

Fee: $125, Registration Deadline: September 19, 2019
