Description

LEBC Bid It To Win It! Online Auction (formally known as the BOOSTER BASH):  Due to COVID-19, we felt it was best again not to hold the in-person dinner fundraiser, so we are changing up our format. The Booster Bash historically has been the Booster Club's largest fundraising event.  We weren't able to "BASH" it in 2020 and 2021.  Our 2022 and 2023 Bid It to Win It was great - thanks for your support!

CHAIRPERSON(s): The chairperson(s) of this committee work with the club's directors to determine a date and location, set a budget and create an event timeline. S/he also develops and monitors subcommittees to coordinate promotion of the event, ticket sales, donations, publications, volunteers and record keeping.  solicit donors, coordinate donations, recruit volunteers and assign jobs for them.  Chairperson or persons work with administration and staff in promoting the event, mailing ticket and donor forms and donation pick up. The majority of event coordination and planning takes place January-April.

ONLINE AUCTION VOLUNTEERS:  Volunteers are needed to help with promotion of the event, ticket sales, soliciting and collecting donations, preparing the bid book, creating auction displays, and assisting at the event.  Bash Committee volunteers will attend 3-4 planning and coordinating meetings. The majority of this event coordination takes place from January-April.

COMMUNICATIONS:  Provide current information to Booster Club membership via:

Website: Review content on website and update as needed, ensuring "user friendly" access. Communicate and make changes as needed.

MEMBERSHIP:  Chairperson performs yearly review and updates correspondence/form letters/listings as needed.  As permitted, compiles membership information to be distributed to LEBC officers/directors/chairpersons (such as contact information for volunteering, mass mailing, membership totals, etc.).  Ensures distribution upon application of Welcome materials according to membership tier level.  Issues membership and D117 Family Activities passes as necessary.  Maintains membership application records as needed.

STAFF APPRECIAN VOLUNTEERS:  Assist in set-up, serving, donations of food/drinks, and clean-up.

YARD SIGNS:  The chairperson is responsible for collecting, placing and delivering Lakes sport/activity pride signs.
