ONE NIGHT

One act play set in a Chapel in France in 1920 on the night the Unknown Warrior is chosen to lie in the grave in Westminster Abbey as a symbol of the millions of dead of the First World War.

UP IN THE BLUE

Stage play set in a mess of the women pilots of the Air Transport Auxiliary during the Second World War. With a cast of seven strong women and two damaged men, it explores a world of insane bravery and determination and the desire of women to be treated the same as men.

FULL BLOOM (TV SERIES PILOT) - optioned.

Terribly mistreated by every man she's ever met, Emma Bloom, a wealthy married woman in 1820s Britain, finally snaps and kills her husband. She is befriended by Jane Godsmark who works as a government assassin. She protects Emma from the discovery of her crime and together they try to right the wrongs the male sex have inflicted on them. As Jane continues her wet work for the government Emma becomes increasingly conflicted knowing that she herself is a murderess. How can she judge her friend, and what lengths will they both go to, to protect the other?

THE SCENT OF JASMINE (FEATURE FILM)

 A widowed Irishmen takes to the road in the US in the company of Jasmine a Country and Western wannabie. They travel  across America in a Winnebago on a journey of laugh, song and discovery. 

THE ECSTASY OF OLD BONES (FEATURE FILM)

Two widowed women in their sixties try to find that one last chance for love. For one the journey can never be completed for the other? Will she find love at the last moment and live the life her past has denied her, or is it all a futile dream?

The idyllic atmosphere of a small corner of 19th century Victorian England is shattered by both the sins of the past

and the awful truths of the present.

An elderly black man, Mr Lear, sits alone on a bench in New York. Everyday he returns to sleep in a closet in a department building on the Upper East Side. He is befriended by a young woman. But what does she want and what has brought the elegant and cultured Mr Lear to the loneliness of a part bench?

A privileged young English homosexual in 1960s colonial Africa is offered the chance to be truly happy, but panics and leaves for a more conventional life in the UK, only to realize in his last years that he has made a terrible mistake with very little time to fix it.

In a dark and dangerous modern city young men fight, young women party, music, mayhem and drugs are consumed, and true love is found and lost once more.

Scandal reigns in a Scottish University town as American students and European Royalty mix occasional learning with shameless parties, secret societies and social mountaineering.

MAHALA (FEATURE FILM -  CO-WRITER HUGH BROWNSTONE)

In a modern spin on Scheherazade, the last machine on earth is momentarily stopped from cleansing the world of humanity, when enchanted by a young girl who tells it a new story each night.
