Chinmaya Alankar Award 2019

Pujya Guruji handed over the Chinmaya Alankar award to 12 year old Kumari. P.S. Thvarita Rao, from Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Anna Nagar, Chennai on the 20th Feb 2019 during the Chinmaya quotient Quiz for her outstanding contribution in the field of Taekwondo. Was awarded the Chinmaya Alankar award on the 20th Feb 2019 at Wins Silver in Taekwondo.

Kum Thvairtha Rao

-          Has been selected for the world Combat Sports at Hungary in the year 2019.

-          She was the flag bearer of the CBSE contingent at the 64th SGFI National Games at Manipur this Year.

-          She has won 23 Gold, 13 Silver and Bronze medals in a Various District, State, National and International Competitions.

-          A Black Belt at the age of 10. She is the district Gold medallist (Chennai) in the respective category for the past six years.

-          She represented Tamil Nadu and Won the Gold Medal.

-          This year alone she has won six Gold Medals and 4 Silver Medals. 

-          She is also the Gold Medalist at the 1st Nationals Taekwondo Tournament held at Lucknow, -

 

It’s her dream to hold that Indian Flag at the Olympics and hear our National Anthem play… in the sporting arena… as a Chinmaya Student.

Chinmaya Quotient (CQ) II - Quiz for All CC teachers

‘All CC Quiz II’ for the staff of Chinmaya Colleges was organised by CCMT-Education Cell in 2018-19 and the finals was conducted   in the benign presence of Pujya Swami Tejomayanandaji and Swamini Vimalanandaji at CIRS on the 20th Feb 2019.

The first written round on the “Manifetsing Divinity” book and “Chinmaya Dhrishti” issues was conducted in the respective colleges and 213 staff members from 7 Colleges participated on the 20th Jan 2019. The second round of prelims was conducted on the 19th feb 2019 at CIRS in which 13 teachers participated from various colleges. 5 teachers from the  4 CCs were selected for the final round held on Feb 20tt, 2019 at CIRS, Coimbatore. Swami Avayayananda from CM, Ahmedabad  and Smt. Rajeshwari Satish,  the officiating Principal, CIRS conducted the Quiz. Swami. Anukoolananda, Resident Director, CIRS, Swamini Samprathisthananda from Chinmaya Gardens, Smt. Shanti Krishnamurthy, Director CCMT Education Cell   and  Kum Sandeepa, HOD English Department, CIRS were the judges for various rounds. Pujya Guruji and Swaminee VImalananda distributed the prizes and also blessed the gathering.

The results are as follows: Sri. Nishith Anand, Chin Tech, Kannur emerged as winner and was awarded a cash prize of     Rs 20,000/- ,  Smt. Anitha Haridas, Chin Arts College, Kannur came second and received a cash prize of  Rs 15,000/- and Kum. Nayana Sahadevan, Chin Arts College, Kannur bagged the third position and received Rs 10,000/- as cash prize. Smt.Andal and Smt.Sreejaa Nair from CC Tripunithurai finished in the fourth position and received a cash prize of Rs1000/- each. All finalists received the certificate.

Report of the Administrative Assessors Meet and Academic Assessors Meet, 2019

        A meeting of Administrative assessors and Academic and Vision assessors was conducted on the 11th and 12 the Feb respectively, at Chinmaya Gardens, Coimbatore.
The admin assessors meeting on the 11th Feb 2019 was attended by Smt. Shanti Krishnamurthy, Smt. Meena Sriram, Sri. Venkatraman, Sri. Mohana Ranganathan, Sri. Atulkaranjkar, Sri. Biswarup Mukopadhyay and Sri. Jagdish Malviyaji.

         The academic assessors meeting on the 12th Feb 2019 was attended by Smt. Shanti Krishnamurthy, Smt. Meena Sriram, Smt. Vijayalakshmi, Smt. Gowri Lakshmi, Smt. Sashikala, Smt. Dweithy Chandran, Smt. Devi RamanKutty, Smt. Meera Jackson, Smt. Leela Ramamurthy, Sri. Anil Kumar, Sri. Ashok Singh and   Smt. Radha Mohan.

Pujya Swaminee Vimalanada addressed the participants with her inspiring blessings.

 Both the meeting came to an end with the shanti path.


                            

Vanijya Goshti - 2018

A seminar on Commerce / Economics and B.Studies was organised by CCMT Education cell, from 3rd-7th December 2018 at CIRS. 66 teachers from 27 Vidyalayas ,4 Colleges and 5 Vision Schools attended the seminar.

 Mrs. Rajeshwari Satish officiating Principal of CIRS welcomed the gathering and Smt. Shanti Krishnamurthy, Director, CCMT Education cell introduced the seminar concept and introduced the dignitaries. Swami Anukoolananda, Zonal Director and member CCMT Education Cell presided over and inaugurated the seminar and also conducted sessions in the morning.  Dr. Ananth Nageswaran, Dean, IFMR B School, Krea University presented the key note address and Dr. Gauri Maulikar, the Officiating Vice chancellor of Chinmaya University addressed the gathering. The seminar also included eminent speakers like Dr Radha Krishnan Pillai, Dr Krishna Mohan, Dr Satya Kumar, Sri Shiv Dewan, Kum. Sweta Adatia addressing on various topics connected with the subject. There were 5 sessions on CVP conducted by Mrs Shanti Krishnamurthy, Mrs Rajeshwari Satish and Mrs. Annapoorni. Five of the selected delegates based on the abstract submitted by them got an opportunity to share their best practices. Apart from this, Group discussions, Commerce related games and quizzes were conducted by the CIRS faculty members.

KHELMILAN – BADMINTON CHAMPIONSHIP 2018

8TH KHELMILAN – BADMINTON CHAMPIONSHIP @ CV, Kunnumpuram 2018

 

8th Khel Milan Badminton championship was conducted with grandeur from 15th - 17th November 2018, in the wooden floor courts of Jimmy George Indoor Stadium, Thiruvananthapuram.  Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Kunnumpuram hosted the event with 197 participants from 30 schools participated in the championship. The event was conducted under two categories Under 17(juniors) and Under 19 (seniors). The event was conducted for team championship and open championship for both categories. The opening ceremony was adorned with many dignitaries on and off the dais. The Chief Guest Sri.S.Gopinath IPS (Former IG  of Police and Former Addl Director General, National Games, Kerala) elevated the spirit of sports by  his rousing words before hoisting the flag and  proclaiming the meet open.

Closing ceremony was blessed with the  blissful presence of H.H.Swami Vivekananda (Regional Head ,Chinmaya Mission,Kerala) and Swami Abhayananda (Acharya, Chinmaya Mission Trivandrum). Chief Sevak Sri .R.Suresh Mohan declared the championship closed .  Team  championship of  both Juniors and Seniors were won by Chinmaya Vidyalaya Anna Nagar.

In the open championship in the Senior Section Boys Abhijith K.C of CV Vazhutacaud bagged the Gold medal and in the Senior Section Girls Saranya N.A of CV Anna Nagar secured the Gold

In the Junior category Shaswath Vijay and Keerthilekshmy of  CV Anna Nagar   won the Gold in the boys and Girls teams respectively.

 

The prizes were distributed by Swami Viviktananda. The  divine grace of Pujya Gurudev could be felt throughout the event.


Follow –Up Seminar of Chinmaya Netritva VII

21 Teachers from 14 Vidyalaya’s who had participated  in Chinmaya Netritva – VII, came to chinmaya Gardens on Nov 2nd and Nov 3rd 2018 , for a  follow –up program organised by CCMT Education Cell and conducted by Mr. Senthil Kumaran of The Learners Confluence (TLC). The delegates presented the changes they had initiated in their CV’s and were guided in the art of continual improvement.

Swamini Samprathishtananda gave an Inspirational Talk and Mr. Senthil Kumaran guided the importance of the follow- up. Smt. Shanti Krishnamurthy, Director, CCMT Education Cell had a session on Chinmaya Education Movement and A Model Process by Mr. Satish, HOD Science, CIRS.

Kumar Prajwal Chandak, N V Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Shegaon wins Gold Medal in Aerobic Sport in Thailand

"Kumar Prajwal Chandak, a grade 3 student of NV Chinmaya Vidyalaya showed extraordinary flexibility and Sporting skills right from his early childhood. He is a hypper active child and his parents keep requesting the Vidyalaya as to find the ways of handling him. Upon being advised by Pujya Swamini Ujjwalananda his parents put him for Aerobic classes.

Seeing his flexibility even his coach advised him to send him for various competitions. In this process he rose to International level of Aerobic sport and won Gold Medal at Thailand.

 

The Education Cell of Central Chinmaya Misson Trust has recognised the achievement of Prajwal at International level by much coveted Chinmaya Alankar Award for the year 2018."

 

NV Chinmaya Vidyalaya Shegaon are happy to inform that the Chinmaya Alankar Award for the year 2018 was given away to Ku Prajwal Lalit Chandak of NV Chinmaya Vidyalaya by Pujya Guruji Swamy Tejomayanandaji on Friday, the 21st September 2018, in a grand public ceremony where number of parents, mission members, local, eminent personalities and media persons were present. Pujya Guruji blessed the child and lauded the Vidyalaya's efforts in bringing out the best from each child.

CVP - Master Trainer's Program - VII, 2018

We had 30 delegates from 14 Vidyalayas and 3 Vision schools participated in the CVP Master Trainers Programme -VII from August 29th to 31st 2018 at Chinmaya Gardens and in CIRS, Coimbatore. Senior Teachers from various parts of the country participated in the MTP-VII with zeal. The Programme was inaugurated by Pujya Guruji Swami Tejomayanandaji. Swamini Vimalananda blessed the delegates at the inauguration and also conducted a separate session highlighting the need for CVP in schools and our lives.

The sessions were conducted by Pujya Swami Anukoolananda ji, Member, CCMT Education Cell, Smt.Shanti Krishnamurthy, Director, CCMT Education Cell and Smt. Rajeshwari, Officiating Principal, and Sri. Sathish, HOD Science Department from CIRS. We also thank the Correspondents/ Principals/Management

CVP- Master Trainer's Program VI for CV Teacher's

23 delegates from 7 schools participated in the CVP Master Trainers Programme -VI from August 8-9 2018 at Vidya Bharati Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Jamshedpur.  Senior Teachers from various parts of the country participated in the MTP-VI with a zeal. Swami Anukoolananda inspired the delegates to prepare children for life success and not mere academic success. He spoke on how Education has to aim at bringing about transformation in Children.  He also stressed that such a transformation is possible only by shaping the character of children and to achieve that it is not enough just to give knowledge. He mentioned, Knowing should be followed by Feeling and Doing. He explained how CVP should be the spirit behind every activity in a CV and shared best practices to implement CVP through school's normal activities.

Smt. Shanti Krishnamurthy shared with delegates in brief the life of Gurudev, the qualities, role and responsibilities of a Master Trainer and the art of CVP report writing. She stressed on how Chinmaya Vision Program needs to become a big movement with 100 Chinmaya Educational institutions, 6000 teachers and almost one lakh children. She convinced the teachers that if CVP becomes MVP(My Vision Program ), the impact will be phenomenal.

Delegates made presentations on various aspects of CVP, marking the beginning of their journey as a Master Trainer. With this, 6 CVP Master Trainer programmes have been successfully organised by the CCMT Education Cell to empower teachers and Principals from all across India to facilitate better implement CVP and spread Pujya  Gurudev's vision on Education.

VII Chinmaya Netritva - Workshop on Quality Leadership

35 delegates from 22 CVs participated in the 7th Chinmaya Netritva organised by CCMT Education Cell, from 10th to 15th May 2018 at Chinmaya Gardens, Coimbatore. Dr Senthil Kumaran, Head of The Learners Confluence conducted sessions on TQM, 5S, Framework for School Governance and Clean/Safe campus. Shri Subramanian, co-trainer shared best practices of process approach, learning schools and collaborative climate in education institutions. His sessions covered many practical ideas with examples from all over the country leading to concrete action points that can ensure continuous improvement in the CVs. Participants had visited CIRS as part of their training. Swami Anukoolananda inspired the participants with holistic vision, types of leaders and attitude. Smt. Shanti Krishnamurthy, Director of CCMT Education Cell spoke on the supportive role of the Education Cell and its functions. Participants also performed Gayatri Hawan conducted by Br.
