Third Grade Teacher
Welcome to third grade! I am so excited to be working with your student and I look forward to learning and growing with him or her. I believe that student success is rooted in the confidence and courage to try new things and to perceive mistakes as opportunities for reflection and growth. Our classroom will be an equitable community in which all students believe they can learn and are celebrated for their effort, perseverance, and achievements great and small.
This is my seventh year teaching third grade at Rashkis. I graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill with a degree in Elementary Education and a Hispanic Studies minor. Go Heels! I’m originally from Asheville, North Carolina and I enjoy being outside, reading, cooking, and traveling. I live in Durham with my husband, Pete, and our dog, Bodhi.
