I began teaching in 2003. I earned my B.S. in Geology from the University of South Carolina,

my AIG Certification from Duke University, and my M.Ed. from North Carolina State University's S.T.E.M.

(Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) Department of Education.

I live with two cats, Isaac and Ninja, and my husband in the southern part of Chapel Hill. I have two adult sons,

one lives in Chapel Hill and the other lives with his wife in Holly Springs. My daughter, a Carrboro High School graduate,

lives in Tokyo, Japan. I enjoy traveling, particularly to Japan to visit my daughter!
