PTA ADVOCACY

ADVOCACY COMMITTEE

The goal of the PTA Advocacy Committee is to advocate for, promote and support the education, health and success of all children and youth at Carrboro Elementary School. We strive to achieve this goal by educating parents and families about issues confronting our school, and bringing those issues to the Chapel-Hill Carrboro Board of Education, or other legislative bodies. The Advocacy Committee works with the district-wide PTA Council for a common voice on issues that affect the entire district. We work to stay current on state and national education policy and law in order to be a resource to the families in our school community, and participate when appropriate. All parents and teachers are welcome to participate in the PTA Council, or bring issues that concern them to the Advocacy Committee.
