Each quarter average will count as 20% of the final grade, the midterm will count as 5% and the final exam will count as 15%.
If you are absent, you are still responsible to turn in the missed work. Please check my website or with me to get the missed notes and/or homework assignments. School Tool will be updated as soon as the assessment has been graded. Due to the complex nature of the assignments and tests, this will take between 2 and 3 school days for quizzes and tests.

For the progress report grade - no grades will be dropped
For the marking period grade - the lowest graded assignment or quiz will be dropped (1 grade only)
Advanced Placement Calculus is a difficult course so my grades are calculated to reflect that. Each individual grade is based on the percentage of the questions answered correctly. Students and parents can use this grade to determine how well the student performed on each individual task.
At the end of each grading period the averages for the class will be calculated by doing a regression calculation based on the highest grade in the class and the average grade. Each student's grade will be adjusted based on this regression. Therefore during the grading period grades will reflect whether assignments have been completed and the accuracy level. However this may not be a true picture of the students progress or marking period grade.
School Tool will be updated as soon as the assessment has been graded. However, due to the complex nature of the assignments and tests, this will take between 2 and 3 school days for quizzes and tests and up to a week for AP Assignments.
