AP Statistics
Supplies:
v TI-84+ calculator
v 3 ring binder or folder
v Pencils
v Notebook paper
Procedures:
1. Class work is usually an activity or a worksheet which often will be completed in class for a daily grade. Anything not finished in class will be assigned for homework, and it is expected to be returned the following day completed.
2. Quizzes may be announced or unannounced and are given frequently, usually about one to two per week.
3. Tests are announced well in advance. If a student is absent on the day of a test, he or she is expected to take the test as soon as possible after he or she returns to school. Students should make arrangements to make up the test after school.
4. Making up work is each student’s responsibility. Work missed may be made up within the same number of days that a student was absent.
5. Grade averages are calculated as follows:
Summative Assessments (Tests) – 60%
Relevant Applications (Assessments) – 20%
Check for Understanding (Daily grades) – 20%
6. Tutoring will be offered each Tuesday and Wednesday from 2:40 – 3:10, or on an as needed basis.
7. AP Test Day – The AP Statistics test is on Thursday, May 16 at noon.
