About Mr. Gbunblee

I was born in Liberia, West Africa. Due to the political corruption plaguing the country, my family became a target. As a result we had to flee the country. My family moved to the United States in 1993 as civil war refugees. I was 8 years when we came to America. I attended Jane Long Middle School in HISD, then my family moved to Cy-Fair. I attended Cy-Springs High School. After graduation, I enrolled in the University of Houston, then transferred to the downtown campus where I earned my degree in English. I am currently on my 8th year in teaching. I taught English, Language Arts, and Reading for my first 6 years of teaching. Now I teach Teen Leadership and NAC Reading, as well as sponsoring Student Council and Distinguished Gentlemen (boys club) I enjoy what I do. It is a blessing to be able affect positive change in the lives of young people.
