Parent Resources
Reading
HFW
An important resource in helping your child read includes practicing high frequency words. These are words that appear at a high rate in books and are not always decodable. Being able to read these words quickly, will help with fluency.
Below is a list of the K-3 high frequency words. 👇
STAAR Question Stems
On the adjacent document, there are great question stems for many different genres that may appear on the STAAR test. These are amazing to use with your child at home after they have read for 15 to 20 minutes. It will help with their comprehension as well as get them familiar with the way questions may phrased. Students can answer verbally or in writing. 👍
