Local Scholarships
PLEASE READ THE INFORMATION BELOW FIRST
#1 Adams Family Foundation and #2 John R. Adams Academic have 1 application, which is located at the link provided.
#9 Field Memorial does NOT have an application, but requires a cover letter, resume and essay.
#19 Hanlontown Community Club Scholarship has an online application, fill out and mail to address provided.
The remaining scholarships have an application provided in Google Docs which you are able to make a copy of to fill in your information. Click on the scholarship heading to access the document, once you have done so go to file and make a copy of the application.
Please read directions carefully, it is your job to make sure you have completed all application requirements accurately. I will complete the Cumulative GPA and Class Rank information for you. Email your completed applications to me with editing rights BEFORE the deadline, I will print them off for you.
1. Adams Family Foundation Scholarship
Deadline: Friday, March 1st, 2024
Description:
-Must be a graduate of Central Springs and have lived within the boundaries of the original Nora Springs Rock Falls school district for the entire junior and senior years.
- The scholarship will be $5,000 and is renewable three times as long as the student maintains at least the GPA required for graduation in their course of study.

2. John R. Adams Academic Scholarship
Deadline: Friday, March 1st, 2024
Description:
-Must be a graduate of Central Springs and have lived within the boundaries of the original Nora Springs Rock Falls school district for the entire junior and senior years.
-This scholarship emphasizes academic achievement and outstanding community involvement
-The scholarship will be $10,000 and is renewable three times, provided the student maintains a 3.00 GPA or higher as verified by official transcripts.
-To apply: Automatic when you go through the application process for the Adams Family Scholarship. One recipient will be selected to receive the John R. Adams Academic Scholarship (this award will supersede the Adams Family Scholarship).

7. Central Springs Teacher Association

-Applicants must be planning to pursue a degree in education.

9. Field Memorial

Description:
-Student must reside in the original North Central-Manly school district.
-This scholarship, established by Mabel Field, will be awarded based on character, cooperation, industry and aspiration of the student.
-Applicants must be ranked in the top 50% of their graduating class at the end of their junior year.
-The award will be approximately $1500 a year for a 4-year period.
-Must submit a cover letter, resume, and an essay stating their short and long term career goals, educational plans, and why they are deserving of the scholarship.
-Include a copy of your high school transcript.

10. First Security Bank Scholarship

11. Northern Prairie Pheasants Forever Scholarship

-Must answer what Conservation means to you as part of the application.
-Applicants must have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher.

12. American Legion Merit Award

-2.5 or higher GPA
-Have had family member (parent, grandparent, sibling, aunt/uncle, etc) that has served in the United States Armed Forces

13. Central Springs Panther Booster Club Scholarship
Deadline: Friday, March 1st, 2024 @ NOON
Description:
-Open to all players, managers, statisticians, and cheerleaders
-Student must be a full time Central Springs High School Senior.
-Student must have attended Central Springs High School for at least two full years
-Student must have completed at least (2) athletic seasons during their time at Central Springs High School
-Student must demonstrate exemplary sportsmanship, leadership and character, both on and off the field of play
-Parent/Guardian must be a current PAID member of the Central Springs Booster Club. This can be an individual or business membership.
-Student must complete application form and write an essay between 250 - 500 words on the following topic:
What three qualities do you feel you have gained from participating in athletics at Central Springs?
-There will be (4) scholarships awarded per year

17. Nora Springs Impact Group Scholarship

18. Strand North Central Foundation Scholarship
Deadline: Friday, March 1st, 2024 @ NOON
Description:
-Must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher
-Students must live within the current North Central-Manly boundaries or students living outside those boundaries must note prior family or business connections to the Strand family.
-Prepare a typed, minimum 250 word, 12 font, double spaced reflection after reading the book “From the Shellrock to the Highwoods” by Leroy Strand.
-The book can be checked out from Mrs. Fessler for a 1 week period.

19. Hanlontown Community Club Scholarship
Deadline: Sunday, March 31st, 2024
Description:
-This award is open to all high school seniors who live in the immediate Hanlontown area, or who have a connection to the Hanlontown community.
-A connection to the Hanlontown community may be by the students parents being active members of a Hanlontown community service organization (Community Club, Fire Department, Citizens Savings Bank Museum, Library Board, Sundown Day Committee, Sundowner Publication Staff) or by being a member of Grace Lutheran Church.
