First of all, homework in my classroom consists mostly of assignments that just did not get finished in class. I try to give my students ample to start and often times finish assignments before they leave my room. Use your time wisely in class, so that your homework load is smaller.
Students should not spend anymore than an hour a night on homework, maximum. If you find that your child is spending a lot more time than that, please contact me so that we can work out the issue. In addition to homework, students should spend at least 20 minutes a night reading an AR book or book of their choice if their AR goal is met.
There are multiple places to find homework. Some assignments will be on paper while others will be online. This will be indicated in the assignment notebook. Make sure you check the assignment notebook every night.
Online assignments will always be linked on Google Classroom.
Non online assignments should be brought home by students. Non online assignments could be worksheets in their take home folders or workbook pages.
