Welcome to the 2023 - 2024 school year!!
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Welcome to the 2023 – 2024 school year. My name is Kathy Kassens and I will be your child’s reading teacher. I am a graduate of Indiana University and have a Bachelor of Science in Education with a minor in Mild Intervention. I am very excited to be working with you and your student and will do whatever is necessary to help your child succeed.
I live in Liberty, Indiana with my husband, Mark, three daughters: Allison, Lauren, and Emma, and my granddaughter Amelia. My husband is a partner at Brady Ware in Richmond and my oldest daughter Allison is a 2020 graduate from IU in Bloomington. She is an 8th grade Social Studies teacher and is the varsity volleyball coach at Union County. Lauren, my middle daughter graduated from the University of Alabama (ROLL TIDE) with a degree in business and a minor in non-profit organizations. She accepted a position with the Liberty Country Club and is in charge of events, billings, and the clubhouse. My husband graduated from Alabama, so she is the “favorite” child. Emma, my youngest, graduated from Union County High School and is headed to IU in Bloomington to major in nursing.
I am looking forward to getting to know your child and to be working with him or her throughout the school year.
