A CAS calculator is an essential tool required to successfully complete Mathematical Methods CAS Units 1&2. At Catholic College Wodonga we use the 'TI - Nspire CX CAS calculator (the black handheld calculator pictured below). This specific type of calculator is manufactured by Texas Instruments. Texas Instruments also manufacture a very similar plain TI-Nspire calculator (which is blue in appearance and does not have CAS capabilities) as well as TI-Nspire CAS software designed for use on your PC/Mac. Keep this in mind when viewing the various resource material that is available.
CAS calculators can be purchased through Landmarks (College booklist program) or independent shops such as Officeworks. Batteries can be purchased at school from Alex in the front office. The following resources may be useful in helping you understand how to use your calculator.
