S.A.V.E.'s mission statement is:
To stopping the cycle of domestic violence in our community. We believe all residents of our county, regardless of race, gender, class, or religion deserves to be treated with care and dignity. We strive to eliminate the barriers victims confront in seeking services for domestic violence and work to assist victims in taking back their lives.
What is domestic violence?
Domestic violence is a pattern of behavior in any relationship that is used to gain or maintain power and control over someone. Abuse can be physical, sexual, emotional, economic, or psychological actions or threat of actions that influence another person. This includes any behaviors that frighten, intimidate, terrorize, manipulate, hurt, humiliate, blame, injure, or wound someone.
