SIGHT WORDS often also called high frequency words or trick words. They are commonly used words that young children are encouraged to memorize as a whole by sight, so that they can automatically recognize these words in print without having to use any strategies to decode.
There are many ways to make memorizing sight words fun. Be creative and make it into a game. Here are just a few suggestions, there are many more!
