WE ARE ENROLLING FOR 2026-2027!

Welcome to KinderNorth Preschool!   This is a very unique program where the high school students who are enrolled in the Child Development and Introduction to Teaching classes are the student-teachers and plan daily lessons which include circle time, learning/lesson activities, music, craft, and snack.  Lessons are planned and executed under the guidance of Mrs. Reiss.  The students enrolled in the class may choose to receive three college credits from SUNY Cobleskill or Seton Hall University.

The preschool meets weekly but the days and times will vary from week to week.  However, class time will always be in the late morning/early afternoon (11:00 or 12:00 start time).  Parents would receive the schedule a month ahead of time.

The preschool is broken up into two sessions.  We start at the end of September and go through mid-January.  We then take a mini break and begin again at the end of February culminating with a moving up ceremony the first week of June.  Please note that children must be 3 years old and fully potty trained.  The class is multi-age so 3 and 4 year olds are together.   

The cost of the program is only $100 for the entire year!

Mrs. Reiss is the Family and Consumer Sciences teacher at Clarkstown North.  She has a MS in Education and NYS teaching certification in PreK-6 and Home Economics.  She has been running the program since 2007.
