I am very happy to be your English or Theatre teacher this semester. My background is in English, Theatre, and Speech with an undergraduate degree in Theatre from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville and a Masters in Education, Curriculum and Instruction, from Tennessee Tech University in Cookeville. I also teach currently at Tennessee Tech in the evenings. I hope this semester you will brush up on your English writing and grammar skills, expand your vocabulary, and grow to love some new literature that might lead you to think differently about your future. I am thrilled to be working for a third year with the wonderful faculty and staff at Stone Memorial High School.

In theatre and English, there will be the opportunity for creativity, speech, presentations, and group work. Students will learn to communicate with each other and also be able to communicate ideas to a group. We will strive to appreciate others' ideas and the uniqueness and variety of the world around us and the beauty found in words, literature, and theatre.
