NEWS:
The OHSL bade farewell to longtime OHSL Secretary Ron Woodruff at our last OHSL Business Meeting on June 7, 2023. Mr. Woodruff is commended for his outstanding service to the league in is role as Secretary, but also his distinguished career as Athletic Director at Phoenix High School. Thank you Ron for all you have given to the OHSL!
Congratulations to Mike Danaher, retired boys soccer coach from Fabius-Pompey. Mike was selected by the league as a recipient of an OHSL Service Award for his contributions to the league during his career as Boys Soccer Coach. Current Fabius-Pompey Athletic Director, Tim Wilcox presented Coach Danaher with the award at the June 7th OHSL Business Meeting.
Congratulations to Bob McKenny, Athletic Director at Bishop Grimes, who was awarded an OHSL Service Award on June 7th at the OHSL Business Meeting. Bob McKenny was recognized for his service to the league as an Athletic Director and Boys Varsity Basketball Coach. Buddy Wleklinski, AD at CBA, presented Bob with his award.
Congratulations to Cazenovia CSD, Athletic Administrator, Mike Byrnes, who was selected as a recipient of an OHSL Service Award. Byrnes has served as Cazenovia's Athletic Administrator since 2001. Byrnes' friend and colleague, John Dippold from Solvay H.S. presented Mike with his OHSL Service Award. Byrnes has been involved with the OHSL Executive Committee for many years, and has held several officer positions over the years.
The OHSL congratulated Coach Karl Norris from Skaneateles High School with an Outstanding Service Award at its June 7th Business Meeting. Coach Norris has been a longtime OHSL boys basketball representative from the Liberty League. Coach Norris announced his retirement after the 2022-23 season. Coach Norris leaves a strong legacy of success and dedication to Skaneateles and the OHSL. Skaneateles' Athletic Director, Steve Musso, accepted the award on Karl's behalf at the League Meeting.
Congratulations to Mr. John Rathbun, Section III Executive Director on his upcoming retirement. On Wednesday, 11/2, the OHSL presented John with a prestigious OHSL Service Award for his dedicated service and contributions to Section III Athletics and our storied league! Mr. Mike Byrnes (left), Athletic Director at Cazenovia, presented John (right) with his service plaque. Happy trails to John!
Congratulations to John Dippold, Athletic Director at Solvay H.S. who was presented with an OHSL Service Award by the membership. John was presented this award by new OHSL President, Jason Czarny, from OCS, at the regular business meeting on 9/14/2022.
On Wednesday, June 1st, the Athletic Directors of the OHSL honored recipients with OHSL Service Awards. The OHSL is pleased to recognize the following individuals for their contributions to OHSL athletics!

PAST NEWS:
Congratulations to Mr. Tim Ryan from Fabius-Pompey for an OHSL 2021 Service Awarded presented by Mr. Tim Wilcox, Fabius-Pompey Athletic Administrator. Mr. Ryan, who is retiring after 14-years as Superintendent, volunteered on many Section III and OHSL Committees and his dedication and expertise will be missed. Thank you to Mr. Ryan on his career!
Congratulations to Mr. Jerry Kelly from Lafayette CSD for being named an OHSL Service Award Recipient for 2021. Jerry Kelly will be retiring after 25 years as Athletic Director at Lafayette Central. Mr. Don McClure, Athletic Administrator from Tully presented Mr. Kelly with his award. We thank Jerry for his dedication and contributions made to the OHSL as a coach, Athletic Director, and mentor to many others over the years!
