Precalculus is a course that earns honors credit. It is a rigorous, fast-paced preparation for AP Calculus. This class includes concepts from algebra, geometry, trigonometry, statistics, discrete, and calculus. Students should have a working knowledge of basic concepts from Alg 1, Alg 2, and Geometry: simplify, operate with, and factor algebraic and logarithmic expressions, solve equations, inequalities, and systems, classify, create a table for, and graph functions and transformations, apply functions to real-life situations, graph and state properties of conic sections, write equations and functions, apply properties of geometric polygons. Some concepts will be reviewed to use as a foundation for new Precalculus concepts
