What are the goals?
· Develop and sustain a full partnership with families (System of Care)
· Support access to community-based, individualized, strengths-based, and family driven services
that integrate the cultural and ethnic characteristics of the families.
· Integrate local and private agencies into the System of Care
· Ensure State funds are allocated and used appropriately to support the basic System of Care
· Determine child and family needs, issues and barriers and advocate to the State for systems
change
· Identify available assistance through partnership with local agencies and provide pre-service and
in-service training on the System of Care and best practices
· Serve as a resource to children, families and their teams in resolving questions, eligibility for
services and identifying service gaps.
· Share resources and accountability among the collaborative groups within the community to
ensure quality services.
