SL.5 Presentation Assignment Sheet

SL.5 Make strategic use of digital media (e.g., textual, graphical, audio, visual, and interactive elements) in presentations to enhance understanding of findings, reasoning, and evidence and to add interest.
Assignment:
Create an informative and persuasive 5-10 minute presentation representing an extracurricular activity or elective in which you have been involved. Your audience is incoming freshmen. How will you get them interested in your activity/elective? You may use Keynote or Google Presentation

- 4.1 Present your slides

Presentation must include:
- Information on activity - what is it?, what do you do?, why should anyone be involved?, benefits, etc.
- Color choice
- Keynote for Mac: Change the background color of Keynote slides
- Change the theme, background, or layout in Google Slides
- Font choices
- KEYNOTE: Change the font or size
- KEYNOTE: Add bold, italic, underline, or strikethrough to text
- KEYNOTE: Change the color of text
- KEYNOTE: Add a shadow or outline to text
- Audio element(s)
- KEYNOTE: Add video and audio to slide
- KEYNOTE: Add narration or a soundtrack
- How to add video to Google Slides for a more powerful presentation
- How to Insert Non-YouTube Videos Into Google Slides
- Visual element(s)
- KEYNOTE: Add a Magic Move transition
- KEYNOTE: Add a transition between slides
- KEYNOTE: Animate objects
- GOOGLE SLIDES: Add or change animations and transitions
Choose AT LEAST THREE of the following options to include in your presentation:
- Photos of activity at our school/in our area
- Interactive element
- Interview video clip of senior in activity and/or sponsor/coach/teacher in charge of activity
- Video clip representing activity
- Student poll - graphed results
- KEYNOTE: Add or delete a table
- Other - student idea - check in with teacher
