Biography/Contact

Renee grew up in Fort Collins, Colorado and started playing violin the summer before 7th grade in the public school program. After encouragement from her high school orchestra teachers, she enrolled at the University of Northern Colorado in the Music Education bachelor's degree program. She earned her BME with honors and received a minor in Spanish as well. Renee then accepted a position as middle school orchestra teacher in St. Vrain Valley School District. She left that position to fulfill a dream of returning to her alma mater, teaching at Fort Collins High School for two years. Afterwards, Renee returned to UNC to earn her master's degree in Violin Performance with her undergrad professor, Richard Fuchs. When she completed that, she took a year off from reality and went to fulfill an even earlier dream of working at Walt Disney World Resort© in Florida, where she worked as a seasonal employee driving the Friendships in Epcot for over 8 years.

This is Renee's eighth year in BVSD and at Broomfield Heights Middle School. She is excited to see the growth and progress that has occurred in her time in Broomfield, and is overjoyed at getting to work with such amazing students, parents, and faculty. She has found her home here.
