Senior Literature, Composition and Communication is a year-long course that builds on the skills learned in Eleventh Grade English Language Arts. The course includes the study of literature and nonfiction. Instruction of college preparatory writing techniques is an integral part of the curriculum. Students continue to refine their composition, reading, and speaking skills in a variety of genres and contexts. Higher-level literary and textual analysis is emphasized in class discussion, writing, and oral presentations. Students learn a variety of organizational strategies in writing and speaking as well as learning to speak and write for a variety of audiences and purposes.
