I love teaching physics and other science classes at Centaurus and supervising our awesome Physics Club. I am a recent Fulbright alum for the Teachers for Global Classrooms program. My favorite lessons include science jokes, labs, music, and demonstrations. I am a graduate of Boulder Valley School District, and I grew up in the mountains west of Boulder before going to Boston University to earn two majors (physics and French). I then moved to Pasadena, CA, earned a graduate degree in physics education, and started teaching science in Hollywood. My hobbies back then included acting in plays and climbing. After six years, I moved to Paris, France with my husband Stephen, where I taught physics and math at an international high school. Our oldest daughter was born in France, and we had many family adventures in Europe before moving back to the US. We finally came back home to Colorado in 2014. Our family visited abroad in Montpellier, France in 2022, and I went to Ghana in West Africa as a part of the Fulbright Teacher Exchanges program in March 2023. I recently became a Colorado finalist for the Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST). On the weekends, we enjoy outdoor activities with our daughters Sophie and Elena (ages 11 and 8) and our dog Luna. I also like baking pies, running, and dancing.Â
