Baldwinsville Harriers Booster Club is getting involved with this cool recycling program
Did You Know?
Most people throw away their used sneakers every 125-200 days without ever thinking about recycling. Since sneakers are manufactured with materials that are not biodegradable, they remain in landfills.
The process of manufacturing sneakers produces large amounts of CO2 which contribute to the serious effects of climate change and global warming.
The Solution
Since they started out on their mission, GotSneakers has:
Stopped 75 million pounds of CO2 from entering the atmosphere.
Recycled and reused 2.5 million pairs of shoes (and counting)!
This can be a continuous fundraiser program for the Harriers Booster Club
Recycle your new or used sneakers anytime, Coach Titus will have a bin in her classroom at Baker room 1432 or you can give them to Mary Horan
The Club will send the sneakers to Gotsneakers and make a few dollars for every pair of recycled sneakers
Please tell your family and friends to recycle their sneakers with us and save the Earth
