Nutrition - You Are What You Eat

The food you eat is the fuel for your body.  Do not pollute your "engine" with greasy, sugary, processed foods.  Instead choose foods that helps provide balanced nutrition and "clean" energy - not foods that cause a sugar crash.  Here are some quick nutrition suggestions:

1.  Eat more vegetables and fruits, especially leafy green vegetables (kale, spinach, broccoli, etc.).  These are nutrient dense foods that provide a great deal of essential vitamins and minerals.

2.  Hydrate!  Hydrate!  Hydrate!  Proper hydration is essential to performance and to your digestion.

3.  Eat smaller portions of red meat, and if possible, eat more lean proteins (fish, chicken, turkey, etc.)

4.  Dramatically cut down on sugary foods, especially those with corn syrup and/or refined sugars.

5.  Avoid energy drinks!  Consuming these drinks provides zero nutritional value and no performance benefits .    Top 14 Energy Drink Dangers
