STEM - Science, Technology, Engineering and Math

Our school wide STEM project this year will be conducted during African American History Month. For this project you will conduct group research, create a group presentation, and write a biography about a person.

Explanation: You will be assigned an African American that has significant contributions in the field of technology or engineering.

Biography: You will research and record information as a group on the research graphic organizer and collaborate within your group to compose a written biography on your assigned person. You will be responsible for turning in your own biography. Biographies are expected to consist of five paragraphs - introduction, early life, education, contribution to society (why they are famous), closing paragraph (how has society benefited from this person’s contribution).

Presentation: You will be required to create a group presentation for your assigned person. Your group will create a Powerpoint presentation during computer lab.
