School nursing is a specialized practice of professional nursing.  School nurses focus on advancing the health and wellness of students to enhance academic achievement.  School nurses promote normal growth and development, health, and safety.  The school nurses intervene with actual or potential health problems, develop a plan of care, and promote a safe environment where children can learn to the best of their ability.

School nurses collaborate with other members of the school team and partner with the community, families, students, and other family members of health care to advocate for student health.

Immunizations: All students need to have up to date immunizations. New students are also required to have a physical exam.  Please provide a copy of your child's most recent immunization record and physical to the school nurse as soon as possible. If your student has a doctor's appointment scheduled after the first day of school, a note from the doctor with appointment date is required. Please contact the School Nurse with any questions.
