Hello! Welcome to my page! I am a teacher of physical science and have been for over 20 years. I am originally from Elkins Park, Pa. My mother was a Teacher of English and Reading and my father was a mail handler at the 30th Street Post Office in Philadelphia. After graduating from Abington HIgh School, I went to Rutgers University- Cook College to major in Biochemistry. While I participated in numerous activities, I am especially proud of my accomplishments in the Scarlet Guard, Women's Drill Team and my commission in the US Army. After graduation from college, I went for training as a US ARMY Reserve Chemical Corps Officer. I married another service member and our family grew to 3 daughters, 1 dog and 2 cats.
I went back to school to get my Masters in Art of Teaching (MAT). I started with High School Chemistry and Physics. I began my teaching career in Willingboro HS and then came to BCIT.
I like bike riding, gardening, watching anime, participating in various conventions, watching science fiction movies, listening to music, and reading books. I really like meeting and interacting with people of all ages. My favorite color is purple and I love crabs! I also really like Dragons!
I am also Class Co Advisor 2022, VoTAG Co Advisor, Equity Champion, After School Supervisor of Winter Sports
While there is so much more to me than above, it is way too much to put in this space. I look forward to the year with students and parents, alike.
