Barney's Convocation speech took us back to our graduation and reminded us of our teachers and the importance of our class gift, the Class of 1963 Faculty Development Fund. During his speech he held up pages from the Wilkes-Barre Record of June 11, 1963, relating to our commencement speaker's remarks and the then-current Civil Rights crisis in Alabama. Leslie's Memorial Service remarks called our attention to who we are as a class as we remember our classmates who have passed. Lydia Traill, a Sem English teacher, spoke at the Convocation about the nature of Sem today and why she enjoys being part of it all.
