Nathan Sommer

Nathan Sommer was Prairie View's first State Champion in Wrestling. In 2007 he wrestled at 145 pounds and concluded with a runner-up appearance at state. He finished with 35 falls and 45 victories, both school records. in 2008, he finished his senior year at 152 pounds. He set new school records with 100 takedowns, 36 falls, and 49 victories. His 36 pins that season were tied for second in state history (the record was established that same season). He won 49 matches, also second in state history (most wins was set the same season). He finished with 116 career falls, second in state history. He finished with 162 wins, at the time, a school record.
