Worked with Prof. S. B. Krupanidhi as a visiting research student in a collaborative research work on "Radiation effects on ferroelectric thin films". Worked on the effect of high energy heavy ion (Lithium and Oxygen) irradiation effects on the structural, dielectric and ferroelectric properties of PZT, SBT and PLT thin films.

Worked with Prof. A. M. Umarji as a visiting research student in a collaborative research project on "Radiation effects on low thermal expansion ceramics" sanctioned to Dr. V. M. Jali. Worked on the synthesis, characterization of low thermal expansion ceramics and bulk relaxor ferroelectrics. Effect of proton, electron and high energy heavy ion irradiation effects on low thermal expansion ceramics and lead based relaxor ferroelectrics.

User of the 15 UD Pelletron Accelerator at Nuclear Science Centre, New-Delhi, India for the irradiation studies. The thesis proposal was accepted by the Accelerator Users Committee for the allotment of Beam-time on priority basis.

· Metal Oxide - Carbon nanomaterials for electro-optic applications
Thin films
· ZnO – A wide bandgap semiconductor having applications in electro-optics and spintronics
· Pb(Zr0.53Ti0.47)O3 (PZT) - A well known lead based ferroelectric material having applications in the current memory technology and in piezoelectric devices
· SrBi2Ta2O9 (SBT) - a Bismuth layered Aurivillus compound, known for its good fatigue endurance, and one of the most used compositions for the current memory devices
Bulk Ceramics
· Ca1-xSrxZr4P6O24 (CSZP)- A low thermal expansion Ceramic system, belonging to NZP family, having tailarable thermal expansion coefficient to the near zero value, having applications ranging from kitchen ware to the space vehicles as an anti-thermal shock resistant material.
· Pb(Fe0.5Nb0.5)O3 (PFN) - A lead based relaxor ferroelectric perovskite material known for its very high dielectric constant and having applications in the multi layer ceramic capacitors
· Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3 - PbTiO3 (PMN - PT) ; Pb(Zn1/3Nb2/3)O3 - BaTiO3 (PZN - BT)
- Lead based relaxor ferroelectric compositions known for their diffuse ferroelectric transition with frequency dispersion, having applications in capacitor, piezoelectric and pyroelectric devices
· Al2O3; CeO2; Ce1-xPrxO2; Fe2O3, Ce2S3 - Inorganic oxide/sulphide based high temperature pigments

· 25 MeV Proton and 50 MeV Lithium ion irradiation studies on the properties of CSZP ceramics using 15 UD Pelletron at Nuclear Science Centre, New-Delhi, India
· 7 MeV Electron irradiation studies on the properties of CSZP ceramics using Microtron at Pune University, Pune, India
· 50 MeV Lithium and 70 MeV Oxygen ion irradiation studies on the properties of ferroelectric PZT, SBT and PLT thin films using 15 UD Pelletron at Nuclear Science Centre, New- Delhi, India
· 9 MeV Electron irradiation studies on the properties of the PMN-PT, PZN-BT and PFN ferroelectric ceramics using Microtron at Mangalore University, Mangalore, India
