Electrochemistry is the study of the movement of electrons in a chemical reaction. We will be studying how to identify the oxidation number of a chemical species and then analyze the movement of electrons using the oxidation numbers. From there we will move into discussing the spontaneity of a redox reaction and then use this information to develop electrochemical cells.
