Composition Club
Composition Club is running virtually on Wednesdays at 1:00 for students in grades 4 and 5. Kids can access the meeting link through their music google classroom. Drop ins are welcome!

Grade 3
Sing and Dance Along:
From November 11-22, 2019 Edmunds Elementary hosted a music residency in Guinean drumming, dance and song. We had the privilege of having Sayon Camara and his wife Lev with us for two weeks in music classes culminating in a whole school celebration on Friday, November 22. Sayon shared stories and music from his life in a small village in Guinea West Africa. The students learned songs, drumming and dances from Guinea and learned about the culture and traditions of rural life in Guinea.
We are grateful to the Vermont Arts Council for it's Artists in the Schools grant and to a private donor who allowed us to bring this amazing experience to our students!

Grades 4 and 5
Students in grades 4 and 5 can access work on music composition and music listening and description by going to their MusicFirst accounts. I have created some assignments for them within the online classroom or they can just explore noteflight, O-Generator and Soundation to create!
