Curriculum & Faculty

The primary academic focus of the STEM Academy is providing an enriched Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics experience through integrated technology instruction in core subject areas. All core courses are integrated with common curricular themes of instruction. Students will also have opportunities before school, during the day, and after school to engage in programs such as UIL, Robotics Competitions, Exploravision that further engages students in leadership opportunities and cooperative learning.

Currently serving students in grades five through eight from across the area, the academy draws upon a wealth of student talent in Bryan. Students participating in the magnet program have the opportunity to earn high school credits in the STEM disciplines. These advanced courses meet the requirements for both the Recommended and Distinguished Graduation Plan for Bryan I.S.D. Opportunities to participate in robotics, NASA sponsored activities and competitions, along with embedded service learning opportunities set this magnet program experience apart from the traditional middle school academic program.
