Course Information:

Fit For Life I

Fitness for life is a course designed for students who need a little extra motivation to get outside and moving. Cardiovascular endurance workouts improve the efficiency of your heart, lungs and circulatory system. This course is also great for burning calories and increasing endurance. Students will learn and be able to walk, jog and run in different environments and under different conditions. The second semester (spring) of this course will include an intense program in physical fitness through warm-ups, cardiovascular, and cool down activities. Activities include but are not limited to strengthening and toning, as well as learning about muscles, nutrition and weight control.

Fit For Life II

This course is a continuation of getting outside and moving. This course does not require completion of Fit For Life I, but it will continue where that course ended. Fit For Life II takes cardiovascular endurance workouts to the next level by having students build on their knowledge of muscles, nutrition and weight control to design their own strengthening and toning activities. Examples of activities include warm ups and cool downs, walking, jogging and running workout plans for different environments and under different conditions, with the consideration of a set end goal.
