IBDP At BPCS Overview
Students participate in the IB Diploma Programme (DP) during 11th and 12th grade. Over the course of two years, they take six IB courses, three at the Higher Level and three at the Standard Level. They also complete three core components: a 4,000 word Extended Essay, a critical thinking course entitled Theory of Knowledge, and 150 hours of Creativity, Activity, Service experiences. The full DP prepares students for the academic rigor of college while developing their study habits and organizational skills. In addition, DP courses encourage intellectual inquiry, global thinking, and empathy for others' perspectives.
