Course Information:

Global Studies II is the second year in a two year curriculum that will prepare students for the Global History and Geography Regents exam, which students will take at the conclusion of this course. Students will explore the conditions, causes and outcomes of major global revolutions, including but not limited to: the Industrial Revolution, the French Revolution, and the Communist Revolutions in China, Cuba, and Russia. Students will also study key events in Global History such as Imperialism, WWI, WWII, the Armenian Genocide, the Holocaust, Post-Colonial Independence Movements in India and Africa, and Modern Issues and Current Events. Students will be prepared to write clear, well-organized and well-supported historical analyses and will conduct focused historical research on course topics.
