Writing teacher evaluation goals as a Teacher Librarian can be a challenge. We face a variety of challenges that are unique to our role in the school:

  • We often work with a broader range of students than many classroom teachers and have less time with our students.

  • If we are flexibly scheduled, it is difficult to guarantee instructional time with specific groups of students.

  • For some of us, our lessons and goals need to be tied to a classroom teacher's content. Content that we can't control.

This website is dedicated to showing how other Teacher Librarians in Connecticut address these challenges. Sample goals and commentary from teachers around the state are organized by grade level. There is also a page for you to submit your own SLOs and IAGDs to share with colleagues.

Collaborating with each other can only make us stronger.
