Introduction to Technology

This course provides student with a foundation in technological literacy, which is the ability to use, manage, asses, understand and create technology. From this course they can progress to more advanced and focused studies. An overview of technology is followed by a study of basic materials and processing techniques. Students will complete a series of activities to familiarize themselves with various tools, machines and procedures used in the manufacture of products. This will be followed by a look at problem solving strategies and a team design/build challenge in the field of transportation.
