Bright Ground Solutions LLC was founded in 2013 by Kent Wetzel as a company that specializes in Oracle consulting services. My business background was originally in mail order where I rose quickly from a part-time order taker while attending the University of Illinois in Mechanical Engineering, to Supervisor, then Manager and then to Director level when I joined United CDROM, reporting directly to the CEO. While Manager, I used software and training to create a level of service never before seen at that company, achieving a consistent 10 out of 10 friendliness and helpfulness rating from 99.5% of our customers. I bring that same drive for providing excellent service to my customers today by helping them with Oracle.
I also have a long history of helping companies achieve more from their ERP software, starting as far back as 1989 when I designed numerous software enhancements for the company I was working that automated tasks to reduce labor costs and others that increased sales by over 4% by leveraging data intelligently and providing it to the sales staff in real-time. I was on the source selection committee at United CDROM to replace their highly customized JD Edwards system that had been so poorly customized that it could not survive upgrade. This is where I met the Oracle consulting company, DARC, and was impressed by their Oracle expertise. The dotcom crash hit United CDROM hard, so I entered the world of consulting with the experts at DARC and have been consulting on Oracle ever since. Currently I contract primarily through O2Works LLC, a premier Oracle consulting company with many great consultants, but also work directly with companies when that better suits their needs.
I have also helped create patented software that automated Oracle integration as well as held responsibilities as the Director of support for that software. At the same time I was building and supporting this software, I was nearly always on Oracle consulting engagements in technical and functional roles.
My background has taught me many things:
