21st Century Grant

Program Description

This program supports the creation of community learning centers that provide academic enrichment opportunities during non-school hours for children, particularly students who attend high-poverty and low-performing schools. The program helps students meet state and local student standards in core academic subjects, such as reading and math; offers students a broad array of enrichment activities that can complement their regular academic programs. The program offers a healthy snack and physical exercise. The program provides educational field trips for students who may not have the means to experience these opportunities. The program promotes family and parent participation. This program is free of charge for the families in our district. This program runs off of the funds from a competitive federal grant.

The program hours are from 3:07 pm-5:15 pm

The days of operation are Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. We are not open during school vacation or during parent teacher nights.

We do have a summer program that runs three weeks in the month of July. This year we will start September 6, 2016 and end May 11, 2017.
