Homework Policy

Homework is recommended Mon-Thurs as an opportunity to practice the skills being taught in class. Help make homework a priority by scheduling time each day for your child to complete homework. Children need routine and structure to be successful! Help your child by:

• assisting them with the math activities from the monthly math calendar and signing off on the ones they have completed

  • listening to them read aloud (or read aloud to them) for at least 15 minutes

Homework typically includes:

-Monthly math calendar of activities

-Reading for 15 minutes

-Fluency Binder (comes home Mondays- return on Fridays)

-Practice "trick words" with fun activites (provided later in the year)
